“Inchmurrin as the name of a style of single malt distilled at Loch Lomond distillery, alongside the single malt that carries the distillery’s own name. Rebranded under new ownership in 2015, the new packaging makes this link much clearer. The rebranding also saw this new release join the range, finished in ex-Madeira wine casks.
Nose: Some juicy malt and stone fruit, lime peel and crushed almond.
Palate: Rounded nutty toffee, sweet wood spice, a hint of pot pourri and citrus.
Finish: Oak and dry barley.
Overall: A nutty, fragrant malt from the Western Highlands.”
